Who we are:
The Ascension Ministries’ mission is to strengthen the weak by providing both physical and spiritual support, with the Gospel as the foundation. Our charitable and missionary activity across the world seeks to encourage brotherhood, faith in God, and hope. Ascension ministry gives financial support for basic necessities such as food, clothes, and shelter, especially for those in desperate situations. Our major goal is to spread the Gospel, particularly in cultures unfamiliar with Christianity, while also preparing leaders to uphold and impart its principles.
What we believe:
The Scriptures are Inspired by God and declare His purpose and plan for mankind. (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21).
There is only One True God–revealed in three persons…Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (I John 5:7; Genesis 1:26; Hebrews 3:7-11).
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God’s son Jesus was both human and divine. He is the only one who has ever lived without sin life. He was born to a virgin, lived a blameless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for humanity, and thereby atoned for our sins by shedding His blood. He rose from the dead on the third day, as stated in the Scriptures, ascended to the Father's right side, and will return in power and glory. (John 1:1,14, 20:28; I Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-6; I Timothy 2:5).
Man was created good and upright, but he fell by intentional transgression; his sole hope for salvation is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. (Gen. 1:26-31, 3:1-7; Romans 5:12-21).
Christians are people who have invited the Lord Jesus Christ to enter and live inside them through His Holy Spirit. They give him complete reign over their lives, making Jesus both Lord and Savior. They put their trust in what Jesus accomplished for them when He died, was buried, and rose again from the dead. (John 1:12; John 14:17, 23; John 15:4; Romans 8:11; Revelation 3:20).
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a Special Experience Following Salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times. (Joel 2:28-29; Matthew 3:11; Mark 16:17; Acts 1:5,2:1-4, 17, 38-39, 8:14-17, 10:38, 44-47, 11:15-17, 19:1-6).
The initial physical evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is 'speaking in tongues,' which occurs on the Day of Pentecost and is mentioned throughout Acts and the Epistles. The Bible's enumeration of these gifts is not necessarily complete, and the gifts might appear in various combinations. All Christians are commanded to diligently seek the manifestation of the gifts in their life. These gifts always operate in accordance with the Scriptures and should never be utilized outside of Biblical guidelines. (Hebrews 2:4; Romans 1:11, 12 :4-8; Ephesians 4:16; I Timothy 4:14; II Timothy 1:6-7; I Corinthians 12:1-31, 14:1-40; I Peter 4:10).
